Wedding festivities!
My mother-in-law got married on Friday. I didn't post much last week because I was busy, duh, and I didn't have much to talk about. But OOOOH do I today.
Friday was supa fun with the drinking and dancing and wedding festivities. We had a babysitter that helped out with EZ. So that's what it's like to have a nanny? That was kinda nice! She took care of everything. I just had to wrangle the other child. The crazy one.
At the ceremony Ava did exactly how I expected her to... she did her own thing. Instead of walking down the aisle she wandered all over and kept talking during the vows. That kind of stuff. She rocked the hell out of the dance floor at the reception. It's what happened the next day that makes me a full-blown mom. You see, Ava was up WAY WAAAAAY to late Friday night. Midnight to be exact. Yes I know, totally my fault but dude she was having fun and I didn't want to squash that joy.
The next morning she was up at her usual waking hour. How? We went to a family breakfast and on our way home, about 20 minutes from home, Ava christened our car. With barf. Yeeeah.
She was like Linda Blair on crack. It was shooting out of her nose! So we pull over and I do my best to clean her up with the stray burp cloths found on the floor of the car. I couldn't do much for her until we got home. We drove home with the windows down cause dude... she also fell asleep... in the car... sitting in her own barf...
MOM OF THE YEAR, YO!!!!!
She told me that she spit up a LOT but she didn't get it in her hair. That a girl.
