I tried to win a trip to Mexico and won a book instead. The radio station I listen to, in the morning, was giving away a free trip at Walgreens. When you put your name in the box, you got to spin the wheel. I won and could pick anything off the table. I picked a book. You might think this is lame but not for me... I was GIDDY! I would much rather have the trip but whatevs... I'll take the book. The five people in front of me didn't win a DAY-UM thing. I won a book. HA!
I had to be there when they had the drawing to actually win the trip, so I walked around Walgreens for 15 minutes, KID FREE!!! Bought FIVE bottles of nail polish and two pairs of flip flops for Ava. That store has EVERYTHING. Not to mention, when you're shopping kid-free, suddenly you have all the money in the world to buy stupid shit. Stupid shit, I will buy.
Before you ask, yes, I needed every single bottle of nail polish. They are all pretty. I couldn't decide. Today, I'm sporting Barbie pink. This for the hope of spring being right around the corner. Naturally, we are expecting six inches of snow tomorrow.
I returned to Walgreens later that night to buy $40 worth of various items. Ava went to bed at 6pm, last night. SIX TO THE MOTHER EFFIN P TO THE M!!! She doesn't normally go to bed until eight. She said she wasn't feeling well and wanted to go to bed. Waaa?! So, J and I had a whole extra hour to ourselves after EZ went to bed at seven. Naturally, I went shopping.
I had to get some cold medicine because the sick bug refuses to die, in our house. I got Ava the Cepacol stuff, that you spray in your mouth. She was all excited about using this morning. What she doesn't realize is that adult medicine isn't as yummy as the kid stuff. (Don't worry, I read the bottle, it's for 3 and up.) Her face was priceless. It twisted up and she was all... I NEED WATER!!! Tastes like shit, don't it? But. It works.
I would like to think I'm getting better but I still have a cold. The coughing is much better but I still feel like I could sleep all day and night. In fact, I feel a tad queasy today. That's a new symptom. Just add it to the list! The antibiotics is reeking havoc on my body. Specifically, the nether regions, which is another reason why I went to Walgreens last night. TMI? I think we are way past that point, don't you? I mean I told you about how I pushed two babies out of my cooter and pooped on the table. This is baby stuff compared to that! I would be perfectly happy sitting on a cactus all day, today.
YAY for Winter 2013... you can kiss my white ass. Happy Monday!!!
